“Buck” is a 9 year old ROCKSTAR! He is a tank of a horse that will go anywhere you point him, and cross anything you ask him to. Nothing is to big or small for this guy!! He is the most eye-catching horse in our barn, and the first one that comes to you when out in the field. I can work him ten days in a row, and he trots up to me when I go for him on the eleventh day. He is incredibly loyal, and doesn’t walk off when you dismount. He will follow me around like a dog when I’m repairing fence and always has his head over his stall door.

“Buck” is owned by our veterinarian, and was born on his farm. He’s had interactions with people and kids his entire life. He was used as a pony horse on a racetrack before coming to our ranch. I can pony anything off of him, drag logs, throw a rope, crack a bull whip beside him, and shoot next to him without him looking sideways. He has a huge engine, and will keep up with gaited horses on trail rides. A large part of our business are guided trail rides, and Buck is always our choice mount to lead the riders. He’s gone out on as many as three separate rides in a day and never slows down. He has great cow sense, and has been used to push cattle and buffalo. His ideal job would be search and rescue, mounted police, cow horse, or a ranch horse that requires a steady mount. He wouldn’t shy away from a Colorado hunting trip either! He is gentle enough for kids and has been used on our pony rides, but may not be suitable for beginners because of his forward motion and size. For someone who needs a work horse that is always ready to give you 110%, this is your guy!

“Buck” loves water, clips, bathes, loads every time, ties, and never overreacts when his legs get tangled in objects. He is great with the farrier and wears shoes on all four feet. He lunges like a champ, and desensitizes to everything that we’ve thrown his way. I can’t say enough great things about this guy, and he’s been my preferred mount the entire time I’ve had him!

Please Note:

In the event of technical issues (site crash, server glitch, etc) within the last 4 minutes of the auction that prevent you from placing your bid, please contact Traci Roy (940-224-3036) or Jeff Peck (940-882-0269) within FIVE MINUTES of the close of the auction and we will continue the bidding via group text.THIS ONLY APPLIES IN THE EVENT OF TECHNICAL ISSUES BEYOND OUR CONTROL.

Auto Bidding:

Auto-bidding is available and is very easy to do! To place an auto-bid, instead of bidding the minimum $200 increment, simply enter the amount of your maximum bid (max bid). Doing this will automatically keep you $200 above everyone else until your max bid is reached or the auction ends, whichever comes first. You may also increase your max bid at any time without your current bid being affected. In the event that your max bid is reached and you are outbid, you will receive a text message letting you know that you have been outbid. This text will include a link for you to use to place a higher bid.

Buyers Premium:

Starting March 6, 2022 we will be implementing a 3% Buyers Premium on all sales.

Buy It Now:

Magic Horse Auction now offers a Buy It Now (BIN) feature on some horses. This feature allows buyers to purchase a horse now and not have to wait until the end of an auction. Our Buy It Now (BIN) option is only available at the sellers discretion. If the seller offers a Buy It Now, a bidder can purchase that horse immediately at a price set by the seller. When the “Buy It Now” button is hit and confirmed, the auction ends immediately and the bidder who activated the BIN is responsible for payment within 48 hrs of activation of BIN.
The “Buy It Now” option will be removed 24 hrs prior to the close of the auction, unless otherwise specified.

Time Addition:

Please be aware that if a bid is placed within 4 minutes of the close of the auction, an additional 2 minutes will be added to the clock to give any other bidders time to place their last minute bid as well. This will continue each time a bid is placed until 2 minutes has gone by with no new bids, at which time the auction will officially close.

Non Payment Fee:

Winning Auction payment arrangements MUST be made within 48 hrs of end of auction. There will be a $1000 non payment fee charged to the credit card on file of any winning bidder found to be in default. This also applies in the event of a bidder defaulting using the Buy It Now feature.
