CHECK her out! If you want turtle speed this is your girl. Mohon Rose Sensation is her registered name she’s AQHA and she has some good old bloodlines to back her up. The pedigree is online if you want to look her up. She is that grulla color... talk about gorgeous! I love the grullas they are never the same color sometimes they look mousy gray other times they look like a sooty buckskin.

Ok let’s talk about her speed she is always on turtle mode she never hits bunny mode. If you take her out for a ride don’t plan on ever being home in time for supper. Plan on being late anywhere you are going with this girl. She does not have fast in her vocabulary. She is defiantly more whoa than go! I can’t stress it enough she likes to take things EASY! She is never in a hurry so if you like slow you’re going to love Rose. If someone really wanted her to pick up speed and move out I suppose with enough coaxing you might get her to do it, but she really just enjoys mosying along out on the trails and enjoying the scenery so she would love a trail partner that likes to mosey along with her.

She has the easiest little shuffle jog trot and she will do it all day for you. When I started riding her I forgot how to post you just sit there it’s too comfy. And she has a nice collected little canter that’s a breeze to ride. Comfy is her middle name. She is a pleasure riders dream! You can ride in the front or the back of the pack it doesn’t matter to her. She will ride out alone or separate out on the trails. She loads right up in the trailer and hauls EXCELLENT! This girl is down to earth no fuss and no muss at all with her she’s so easy to get along with. She will pony or be ponied.

She doesn’t care a bit about traffic whether it’s daytime or nighttime. And yes I said nighttime because you better plan on riding out after dark because she’s not in a hurry to get home! So we have been out after dark on the road with her with the traffic going by and she doesn’t care a bit. Loud things really don’t seem to bother her. I’ve had her in a fenced off area of my yard and while I’m out doing yard work whether it be power washing or mowing the lawn she will come up to see what I am doing and sometimes she has followed me on the lawn mower. She has a curious personality and wants to know what is going on.

I just love a horse with her type of personality because that curious, laid back, puppy dog type of personality is always the best kind of horse to work with because they just want to please you. She’s easy to catch and she loves apples. She is currently pastured with another mare and a gelding and they all get along just fine. Right now she measures just a little under 14.3 hands tall and she’s still growing we expect her to finish out around 15 hands. And she keeps bulking out more and more too so she’s going to get a little stouter yet.

She will go in water she’s been in the pond, river, and creeks. She crosses bridges and logs just fine. And she’ll take you up or down a steep hill or embankment with no problems. She goes in the mud and the puddles. She’s fine with the wildlife. She’s not easily spooked, but she is young yet so if there’s something new that she hasn’t seen before she might just look at it and go around it.

She knows her leg cues for moving her hind quarters and shoulders around she does pretty good at it, but would need more refining and finishing out to get her to go into side passing she’s already got the idea and sometimes she does start to side pass without me really asking. She does know how to pickup both leads for a canter however she likes her right lead and would need more work on taking the left lead. She has an awesome stop though as soon as you take your legs off she’ll stop right away every time. She pops right into a canter off the walk. She’s comfortable working in an arena, but we just mainly trail ride with her. So she’s been getting a lot of trail miles.

She stands good in the trailer, at the hitching post, for tacking, mounting, and dismounting. She’s good for the Ferrier, picking up her feet, and fly spray. She’s an awesome little trail horse easy to get along with has NO bad habits or vices. She was born in Texas and so she has a partial brand on the left hip. She also has a small indent on the left hip area I’m not sure how it happened as she must’ve had it happen as a foal because she had it before we ended up with her. It's just cosmetic and it’s really not that noticeable the more she bulks out the less you see it. Doesn’t bother her at all, but just wanted to point that out.

She makes an awesome trail partner I don’t have anything bad to say about her because she really has not given me a reason to. And if you wanted to breed her and have some foals I think you’d get some really nice looking babies out of her with her coloring. And you’ll never know when she’s in heat she acts just like a gelding.

She is a favorite of mine even though she is on a slower speed. I tend to like a faster ride for most of the time, but on days when I might not be feeling so hot and want to go for a ride I pull Rose out and we go for a comfy relaxing ride so I’m really going to miss her when she’s gone. She HAS a current Coggins and vet check all of that will be posted on the site if you have questions or want to come see her feel free to call 231-670-7101
