Porter is a 15.1 hand, very stocky IDHA registered Gypsy Drum. We've had him since he was a yearling - my Daughter taught him when they were both young to pull her around on a sled, and to navigate jumps off lead. Once he was near 4 years old, she started riding him, with no training, and he did great! Has never once offered to buck or rear, would never dream of kicking or biting a person. He's one of those gentle horses you can throw a nebie rider on. The videos of him in fun shows were taken before his training. In 2021 he did have 3 months professional training, mostly under saddle but started driving, and laying down/sitting on cue. He also Side passes at a walk, Trot & Canter, and is very fun to ride bareback!

Porter is extremely gentle, and a bit on the lazy side. He will lead or follow, can navigate any trails and absolutely loves water!! He has a blast riding through lakes or rivers, and we'll go all the way in and swim. He's a very very easy keeper - stays fat on air! Porter has very strong, healthy feet, and has never had shoes. He's always been kept current on vaccines, never been sick nor injured a day in his life. This is an extremely difficult decision to come to, to let him go, but none of us really ride anymore and he's far too amazing of a horse to be wasted in the field. He's used to being housed with many other horses out in pasture, but also does fine in a stall. He is used to all other farm animals and even camels! He's very familiar with four wheelers and traffic. He has been shown a few times in fun shows, But if someone rode him consistently he would do fantastic in competition. We are hoping to find him a new best friend, and a home worthy of him.

Please Note:

In the event of technical issues (site crash, server glitch, etc) within the last 4 minutes of the auction that prevent you from placing your bid, please contact Traci Roy (940-224-3036) or Jeff Peck (940-882-0269) within FIVE MINUTES of the close of the auction and we will continue the bidding via group text.THIS ONLY APPLIES IN THE EVENT OF TECHNICAL ISSUES BEYOND OUR CONTROL.

Auto Bidding:

Auto-bidding is available and is very easy to do! To place an auto-bid, instead of bidding the minimum $200 increment, simply enter the amount of your maximum bid (max bid). Doing this will automatically keep you $200 above everyone else until your max bid is reached or the auction ends, whichever comes first. You may also increase your max bid at any time without your current bid being affected. In the event that your max bid is reached and you are outbid, you will receive a text message letting you know that you have been outbid. This text will include a link for you to use to place a higher bid.

Buyers Premium:

Starting March 6, 2022 we will be implementing a 3% Buyers Premium on all sales.

Buy It Now:

Magic Horse Auction now offers a Buy It Now (BIN) feature on some horses. This feature allows buyers to purchase a horse now and not have to wait until the end of an auction. Our Buy It Now (BIN) option is only available at the sellers discretion. If the seller offers a Buy It Now, a bidder can purchase that horse immediately at a price set by the seller. When the “Buy It Now” button is hit and confirmed, the auction ends immediately and the bidder who activated the BIN is responsible for payment within 48 hrs of activation of BIN.
The “Buy It Now” option will be removed 24 hrs prior to the close of the auction, unless otherwise specified.

Time Addition:

Please be aware that if a bid is placed within 4 minutes of the close of the auction, an additional 2 minutes will be added to the clock to give any other bidders time to place their last minute bid as well. This will continue each time a bid is placed until 2 minutes has gone by with no new bids, at which time the auction will officially close.

Non Payment Fee:

Winning Auction payment arrangements MUST be made within 48 hrs of end of auction. There will be a $1000 non payment fee charged to the credit card on file of any winning bidder found to be in default. This also applies in the event of a bidder defaulting using the Buy It Now feature.

We're Here To Help:

We are happy to help any way we can, but for maximum chance of success, be sure you are pre-registered prior to the last 10 minutes of the auction. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call! We are here to help!
