She is also safe and gentle, easy-going on the trail, fearless, and sure-footed. Sky will easily cross anything you point her at or climb up and down mountains to make the Man From Snowy River blush. She takes care of her rider every step of the way, including pregnant riders, as seen in her video. This mare has seen all sorts of terrain, from the Rocky Mountains to the plains and from town to simple trails. She’s the same horse every time. She is unfazed by anything, including bikes, strollers, barking dogs, flashing lights, livestock, wildlife, ATVs, etc. She has had grouse fly up in her face, rabbits run beneath her feet, and she regularly rides with off-leash dogs. When out on the trail, Sky will walk all day on a loose rein or collect up and gait nicely. She knows her leads when loping and will side pass or half pass when asked. You can ride this mare any way you wish – English, Western, or bareback. Sky true neck reins in any bridle setup you want, but she rides bridleless in just a neck rope as well! Sky will also pick you up off of any object. She is a crowd favorite in parades, traffic and town-safe, and rides at night. Not only is Sky amazing to ride, but she is also perfect on the ground. She stands like a gem for the farrier and will make your place the favorite stop of the day. She is excellent for the vet. She loads and unloads like one should, hauls wonderfully, eats and drinks on the road, and will highline or hobble if you take her on long trips. She stands to be groomed, bathed, and saddled, and she takes a bridle like a lady. She is easy to catch anywhere and will meet you in the pasture.
