“Wildshadows Darkaeven” aka “Draco” is a 16hh, 11yr old, Friesian sport horse stallion registered with FHH. Here is your chance to own a once in a lifetime horse, that has absolutely everything to offer. I have known Draco for the majority of his life, and he touches every heart that has ever had the pleasure of meeting him. He is a charming horse, with the most loving personality, and he is as gentle as a lamb. I am regretfully offering Draco, as he deserves to be someone’s, everything. He is a horse that deserves and desires affection, and attention. And I can promise you, he will steal your heart.

Draco is a gentleman in the barn, with zero bad habits. He is currently and can be stalled next to mares, be cross tied next to mares, and pastured next to mares, with no silly business (when it is not breeding season). He can be stalled next to, pastured next to and has been turned out with geldings as well. He highly respects fence, and doesn’t cause any drama. Draco has no bad habits in the barn or stall. He will stand on the cross ties all day long to be pampered, groomed, braided, bathed, etc. He is good for the vet and farrier. Draco loads and trailers well, and trailers perfectly next to other horses with no fuss. He ties to the trailer and is always the same horse no matter where you take him. Draco has amazing ground manners, he is gentle and kind. He is safe with beginners, children, dogs, foals, you name it, running around him and handling him. I have never met a stallion as calm as Draco. People are always shocked when I tell them he is a stud.

Draco rides english, western, bareback, backwards, standing up, double, whatever you want, he doesn’t care. I have done everything, and taken this boy everywhere. He has such a versatile attitude, and is just happy to be involved no matter what it is, I throw at him. Draco absolutely loves adventures and trail riding. He is brave, easy going and willing. He will go out alone, in groups, lead and follow. He rides like a gelding, put him anywhere in the group, behind, next to, in front of mares, geldings, other stallions, he doesn’t get worked up or fussy. He isn’t constantly trying to touch other horses, sniff noses, etc. I can hop off and leave him stand there in the group and trust that he isn’t going to do anything. It’s amazing to have a stallion who you don’t have to constantly worry about when around other horses. Absolutely anybody can ride Draco. He trail rides on a loose rein and goes where you ask. He crosses water, logs, rocks, traffic safe, dogs safe, bike safe, etc. He can take a joke….. I have taken Draco on night rides, riding him through a pasture of horses who come running up, and he walks through straight as an arrow as if he knows that we have to be sneaky and quiet lol!!! One time, I took Draco out on a sunny afternoon, laid in the grass and let him graze. Well… I fell asleep… for roughly 30 mins, and got woken up by police, lots of them, asking if I was okay. Draco stayed right next to me, not tied, just grazing, the whole time, and the neighbors thought I had fallen off and was KO!!!! Oh I could go on and on. Draco is a loyal horse, who doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.

I have used Draco in parades. He could care less about commotion, sirens, smoke, children, and other parades shenanigans. This boy is safe. I would trust throwing anyone on him, as I have, my own mother and grandmother. I have used Draco to pony horses to the farrier in town as well.

In the ring Draco will w/t/c and pop over fences. He is a push ride. I gave lessons on him in the past. His gaits are uphill, smooth and easy. He is very soft in your hands, and his favorite word is “whoa”. He will collect or ride on a loose rein. He listens well to voice commands, and your seat. He is not a sensitive ride, making him easy for anyone to ride.

Draco drives single and double. He is very simple under harness and a pleasure to drive. He is traffic safe, and has been shown under harness as well.

Not only is Draco a safe, fun, versatile riding and driving horse, he has the ability to pass on his amazing personality to future generations. Draco produces stunning foals. He is a proven breeder, and a gentleman when it comes down to breeding time. He does pasture and in hand breeding, he is easy to work with and gets straight to the point with no dangerous behavior. Draco has lines of Friesian, as well as Swedish and Dutch warmblood, creating athletic and unique traits. Draco had ocd surgery many years ago so there is an old scar. I give him a joint supplement when in heavy work. Otherwise, Draco is a very easy keeper, and is currently barefoot. He can be barefoot, or be shod. He can live in or out. He can sit for months and you can climb right on without any silly business. I have trailered Draco out to many different places, I have ridden him in every way you could imagine, I have driven him in my carriage and my jog cart, and at the end of the day, he does everything correct. I could go on and on, but the pictures and videos should speak for themselves.

This is a tough decision for me. I am hoping to find Draco a home where he will be loved, cherished, and spoiled as he has been with me. He deserves none other but the best. He is ready to be someone’s all around horse, breeding stallion, or head in any discipline. The option is always there to geld him as well, as I know that some people’s situations may only allow a gelding. I have tons of pictures that I can send from over the years. This horse holds a very special place in my heart, as well as friends and family that know him. Please feel free to reach out for any further information on Draco. Shipping can be arranged anywhere.
